About Event

Rajasthan is immerging as one of the important investment destination for agriculture and agro-based activties, manufacturing industries and tourism economy. The state of attracting investments worth Rs 4000 Crores in various investment and industrial zones spread across east to west and north to south generating direct and indirect employment of 17,000 workplaces. With a share of 11.5 billion as net state domestic product (NSDP), Rajasthan has joined the list of 10-best states in the country.

In spite of sustained economic progress, state remains heavily dependent on agriculture as 22.5% of state economy generates from this sector. At present industrial sector accounts for 32.5% of NSDP be it cement, salt, textile, stone, leather and footwear, steel and petro-chemical. However industrial sector is getting added attention by the present Government which require sustained development of energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, agro-processing and special economic zones (SEZ).

Sub-theme 1: Ensuring Agricultural growth

This theme will include major indicators for sustained
growth of agriculture sector and its independence on
water, reuse of waste water, soil health and land use issues

Sub-theme 2: Enhancing manufacturing & Industrial
environment

This theme will include infrastructure and logistics to
industrial estates, state of environment within and near
industrial zones, and issues related to industrial waste and
waste generated from processing

Sub-theme 3: Making urban and rural planning Urban planning and urban renewal, improving

infrastructure and services within existing city to make
them smart city, developing green city as special economic
zone

Sub-theme 4: Establishing renewable energy potential

Identification of energy generation using solar energy,
grid connectivity and energy planning, improving
efficiency in residential and commercial buildings.

Sub-theme 5: Science Communication

This theme generally refers to public communication
presenting science-related topics to non-experts. it
advocates for the importance of scientific values in
general, and helping the public to understand that
scientific views are not mere opinions - but hard won
knowledge.
